Seattle

After the beach we went home for about 22 hours, did laundry and repacked to go to Seattle. We were flying out of Newark at the crack of dawn, so we decided it would be easier to sleep in a hotel the night before we left. Newark is about an hour away from here and to make sure we got our money's worth of hotel we went up during the day. It ended up working out great and we enjoyed ourselves. We left Newark at 7:30 am and arrived in Seattle a little after 10 am. Nice!

I can't resist taking pictures of him sleeping.
This is at the Hotel in Newark

When we got to Seattle we decided that we needed to take Mike to Ray's. I have been talking about it for years and I have never taken him before.
At Grammie's
Connie has been dying to give Jake rice cereal.
She finally got her chance

But, I think he wore most of it!

After having breakfast with Becky, Jason, Sydney, and Maria, on Saturday, it was time for Megan and Eddie's Wedding. It rained and the location had to be moved, but the detail and thought that went into this wedding was amazing! It was a beautiful ceremony, Megan was gorgeous and Eddie was awesome as usual.

Isn't she gorgeous! They grow up so fast *sigh*

Dinner was fantastic and Jake got to play with Gpa G

Then we danced

You both are such incredible people. Be kind to each other and enjoy every minute. We love you and congratulate you! On Sunday we decided to go see the Mariner's lose to Tampa.

It was not a good game, but we had a great time! We got there Friday, went to the Mariner's on Sunday and the camera died Monday morning. So there will be more pictures as people send them. Maria has some, Erin has some and my mom has a few. No pressure guys, but the blog isn't complete yet...

Summer Fun

After I came home from Seattle in April, I thought that we would have a pretty lazy summer. Neither of us working and with a baby, what would we do. I was wrong. After getting back from Illinois we had three weeks to rest before taking off on our first ever two week vacation! We had the chance to go to the Jersey Shore for a week and then off to Seattle for Megan's wedding and to see Grammie and Grandpa.

We will start with the beach. It was really hot and I think babies should be inside during the summer (I also don't like the beach and this gave me a really great excuse. I know I got married on a beach, but that is Mexico, not New Jersey. I don't like the water and I don't like the sand. Mike on the other hand could be on the beach from morning to night.) Anyway, we did get to the beach for about an hour a couple of days. Jake was not that into it. Maybe next year he will like it more. Mike buried him up to his chest on the day that I forgot my camera. He liked that for about two minutes. I feel like I only have pictures of him in this bathing suit. He does have other suits, but this one has the long sleeve rash guard shirt, which is really great!

Jake loves to suck on bottles. This is a beer bottle and there is nothing in it! I just thought that Gpa G would like the Notre Dame hat. That's my brother in law, Ed
Jake's first Carousel ride
(do you say Merry go round or carousel...is that a coast thing?)

A Few July Shots

We have had a really busy and fun summer. Neither Mike nor I had a full time job this summer, so we were able to stay home together with Jake. You never get this time again and neither of us had to miss it. We were truly blessed! So I thought I would put up a few of Jake's cuter moments throughout July.

This is Jake's new highchair and this is his first time sitting in it.
He really seems to like it and doesn't fight me...yet!
I just love that face!
On this day I forgot his hat and his sunscreen, so he almost didn't make it into the pool. He didn't like swimming with Daddy as much as he liked sitting in this car. He has gained some weight (finally!) since I started giving him some formula everyday, but this picture makes him look like a chunk! I love the arm out the window!
This is a great picture of Jake right before he fell off the table.
(into Mike's arms, calm down!)
Mike let Jake "try a little lime juice on his binki"
