Happy Father's Day

I want to start by saying what a great dad Mike is. He is very hands on and doesn't run from a smelly diaper. It is hard sometimes for him because I am still nursing and Jake is such a mama's boy, but he takes it all in stride. I appreciate him so much and know that I don't tell him enough. Thank you Mike for all your help and patience, I know how hard it is sometimes. I love you so much.

Sunday was Mike's first Father's Day so Jake and I took him out to dinner Saturday night and then we spent Sunday at Mike's parent's house. Mike was dying to take Jake swimming, but with the no sunscreen rule and the reaction of his last swim, I wasn't sure how he would do. We covered him up completely with a swim shirt and long trunks and put his (as Mike says) Grammy hat on. How cute does he look?

Then he was off to swim. The pool is not heated and Jake did not like getting wet...at first
Eventually, he loved it and cried when I took him out. I swear he had his hat on almost the entire time, except when I took these pictures!
Jake just started rolling over from his tummy and now loves to be like this. That is his Aunt Jamie's head.

Jake's Christening

Jake had his christening yesterday. He was the only boy and the only one not to cry. He actually laughed when they poured the water on him. I have always said that we got the best one! We had a big party at Mike's parents afterward. Jake has finally started to let others hold him so I got to have a beer and relax as well!! It was only 98 degrees and what seemed to be 1000% humidity, but we all had a great time
